The following instructions cover typical usage of Outlook Express and
assume the software has been installed correctly on your system.

• Step 1. Open Outlook Express.

• Step 2. Click Tools on the Menu Bar.

• Step 3. Click Accounts in the Tools menu.

• Step 4. Click Add.

• Step 5. Click Mail in the Internet Accounts box.

• Step 6. Complete the following fields in the Internet Connection Wizard
window:

[a] Display Name - The name that will display on an eMail sent using this
profile. - (This is your personal name, not your eMail Address)

[b] eMail Address - The eMail Address that will display on an eMail sent
using this profile username@yourdomain.com.

[c] Incoming Mail Server - The mail server from which eMail for this
profile is to be retrieved. Use mail.yourdomain.com. Example
mail.yourdomain.com.

[d] Outgoing Mail Server - The mail server through which eMail sent using
this profile will go. ASK YOUR ISP about Outgoing (SMTP) server.

[e] Account Name: username@yourdomain.com. - Use your complete
eMail Address as your Account Name.

[f] Password: The password for the above account.

• Step 7. Click FINISHED on the Internet Accounts box when you have
completed the Internet Connection Wizard.

With Outlook Express, you can setup additional mail accounts for every
mailbox from which you need to retrieve mail. There are many more
options available in Outlook Express. See the software's documentation

advanced options.

Try mail.aol.com, or mail.earthlink.net, etc. - then try sending yourself mail. If you get an error,

try changing the mail. to smtp.aol.com, etc. If that fails also, contact your ISP for additional help.

Please Note: If you click on your new eMail Address in the Accounts Section (Shown in

Step #4 Above), and then click on Properties, you will be able to change any of the

features you just set up. BUT... Nothing under the Security or Advanced Features Tab

need to be changed.... ESPECIALLY....DO NOT CHECK the box that says "Leave A Copy

Of Message On Server" as this eats up your alloted storage usage real quick!

After you set up your eMail Account, The
eMail Address will appear in this box.
You can then click on "Properties" to
alter any information you stored during
set-up. See the special note at the
bottom of this page.
